About Strength of Soul

At some point, many of us discover a gap between what we know to be true and what we actually experience. We may understand forgiveness, yet continue carrying shame. We know we are loved, yet still feel alone. We long for meaningful relationships, yet find ourselves repeating familiar patterns. Healing begins by slowing down long enough to understand your story. Strength of Soul exists to provide a thoughtful, compassionate space where individuals and couples can explore life's challenges through the integration of Christian faith, sound psychology, and the therapeutic relationship. Together, we'll seek not only symptom relief, but deeper healing that reconnects the head and the heart. Our mission is to facilitate the integration of the head and the heart through the therapeutic relationship, valuing of story, and the course of time. Whether you're navigating anxiety, trauma, relationship struggles, ministry burnout, church hurt, or simply feel stuck, counseling can become a place where hope is rediscovered and lasting change begins. My approach: I believe every person has a story worth understanding. Rather than rushing toward quick solutions, I seek to understand the experiences, relationships, and beliefs that have shaped who you are today. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in evidence-based practices that honor both emotional health and Christian faith. Depending on your needs, our work together may draw from approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), attachment theory, trauma-informed care, and narrative therapy. Healing rarely happens all at once. More often, it unfolds through safety, honesty, and the steady work of growing in self-awareness, healthier relationships, and deeper connection with God. About Clyde: My passion is helping individuals, couples, and ministry leaders move toward greater emotional health by thoughtfully integrating psychology, Christian faith, and each person's unique story. I count it a privilege to walk alongside people as they pursue healing, deeper relationships, and lasting growth. If you'd like to learn more about my approach to counseling and Christian integration, I invite you to read the Strength of Soul Journal. https://llr.sc.gov/TeleHealth/Counselor.html https://strengthofsouljournal.substack.com/
